Stan Lee is known as the man who gave the comics industry some of its greatest heroes, like the Fantastic Four, The Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man and the X-Men. However, the comic creator is also quite famous for pulling pranks in the industry, especially on up-and-coming artists who he meets.

The comics creator’s cameos in the films that are based on Marvel characters were a highlight for many, which were all shot together to allow the aging creator some leeway. While he once used this opportunity to given Tom Holland an old-school ribbing about being cast as Spider-Man, the creator also got his pranking dukes up when meeting with the creator of Deadpool.

Stan Lee was known to be into practical jokes, especially when it came to upcoming talent. The comics creator had a similar exchange with Rob Liefeld, the legendary creator of Deadpool. When the artist appeared in Stan Lee’s ‘The Comic Book Greats’ series with Todd McFarlane, Lee spared no expense when it came to critiquing the artwork of the creators, along with projecting a negative attitude towards art in modern comics. Not only that, Stan Lee also delivered a hilariously potent jibe when he asked the artist in an earnest (mocking) tone. “You can think and draw at the same time?”, as revealed by /Films.

Lee was known for these kinds of jokes throughout his career, being as celebrated when it came to practical jokes as he was for his work in the comic book industry. Stan Lee has been widely considered as being one of the most influential members of the comics industry, and there have been only a few creators since who have been able to recapture the success that he has had at Marvel, with characters like Deadpool.

Rob Liefeld’s alleged falling out with Disney might be another notch in a concerning trend

Rob Liefeld bade his beloved character goodbye earlier this year, and following his exit, it seems the writer has not been getting his fair share of appreciation from Disney. Liefeld tweeted about his frustration with Disney, and how he was treated better at Warner Bros.

In a series of tweets, the creator revealed what exactly he has been facing with Disney, which we can only assume is related to the upcoming Deadpool and Wolverine.

While what the meetings were about is up for speculation, the only thing that audiences can be sure about is that Liefeld is not going to let it slide so easily. The creator has taken to social media multiple times to champion issues that have irked him and that he has personally felt for, which certainly includes how the House of Mouse is compensating him for using a character he made, especially one as popular and seminal as Deadpool.
