But more than the protagonist, the fans are excited about the return of Zeus’ voice actor, Jason O’Mara. He was last involved with the series in season one. But after his character’s death, he missed out on season two. But recently, he expressed his desire to be a part of the third season.

Zeus died at the end of Blood of Zeus season one. While it is impossible to kill a God, the animated series does not follow all the mythological details. Zeus sacrificed himself to save Hera from the Giants’ leader. Zeus’ voice actor, Jason O’Mara, was surprised to see his character’s death. The first thought he had was how an immortal God could die. But he is not losing hope and expressed his desire to return to the show.

During an interview with ScreenRant, O’Hara said,

“I thought, maybe because I’m playing Zeus, and it’s called Blood of Zeus. Obviously, it’s about my son, but I am supposed to be the most powerful God out there. So you can’t really kill Zeus, just like you can’t really kill Superman. So I had an inkling they would try and get me back, I just didn’t know how.”

He added, “I thought it was cool, and I was just excited to still be a part of it, frankly, and I am hoping I’ll still be a part of it as we hopefully move on to season three.” O’Mara very much expects to be a part of the upcoming season. But there has been no update on whether Zeus will be present in the upcoming season. Knowing that Zeus is immortal, the showrunners could fulfill his wish. The fans were as shocked as him since the titular character was a crucial part of the show.

Blood Of Zeus Season Three Will Be The End

It took Netflix four years to release the second season of Blood of Zeus. It was mainly because the animation took a long to happen. But after the conclusion of Blood of Zeus season two, Netflix announced that the animated series has been renewed for a third. Initially, the showrunners mentioned that the animated series would run for five seasons.

But now they have confirmed the third season to be the last. The Final season will air in 2025, with the release date yet to be announced. It will be interesting to see how the final season wraps up the loose corners. Jason O’Mara was grateful to the fans for loving and supporting him. Now, his comment has riled up the fandom. They believe him to be a part of the upcoming season.

O’Mara initially thought the producers were playing a prank on him. Nonetheless, he wants to voice Zeus in the Final season, and so do the fans. Now, it is up to the showrunners whether Heron will have his father by his side during the last ride.

Blood of Zeus can be streamed on Netflix.
