Shakira Revealed That She Was Betrayed At The Worst Possible Time
In an interview with People en Español, Shakira revealed that she got to know about the cheating allegations of Gerard Piqué when her father, William Mebarak Chadid, was battling for his life in the ICU. She said:
“Everything came together, my home was falling apart. I found out from the press that I had been betrayed while my dad was in the ICU.”
However, the singer has assured everyone that her father is doing well now and she hopes to move forward from the entire cheating incident. She said:
“His recovery has been very hard and slow, but he is a wonderful man and an endearing character to all of us who always surprises us with his strength… There are days when I feel strong, there are days when I feel that I have lived through so many hard things, that I can face anything.”
