X-X-X-TRIGGER WARNING: FIREARMS, GUNS, SHOOTING, DEATH-X-X-X
The rap world has recently been hit by devastating news after reports came out that one of the members of the Migos hip-hop group, Takeoff, died in a shooting. Born Kirshnik Khari Ball, Takeoff was only 28 years old when he was shot dead in Houston, Texas on November 1.
Someone’s death is no joke, and it’s a shared moral responsibility to respect the dead especially when the incident has just occurred. There’s no shortage of footage of controversial incidents, fights, deaths, and so on with the advancement in smartphones nowadays. This technological progress also means that people get to record even the most messed up things they can on mobile, and Takeoff’s death was one such incident.

Takeoff was at the top of the world as a member of Migos back in 2016 when their hit single Bad and Boujee peaked at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 charts. The Lawrenceville-born rapper’s death is truly tragic, and will surely mark a huge dent in the hip-hop world.

The whole case gets more and more sickening when there’s footage of the incident (after the shooting) that has been found by fans of the late rapper on Twitter and other social media platforms. The saddening footage described shows Quavo mourning over Takeoff’s body as bystanders watch.
Fans of Quavo’s nephew have been pouring in their tributes over the rapper’s untimely death, but they’re as furious over the people who decided to record the aftermath of the incident-
You gotta be a very sick minded individual to see Quavo frantic and mourning over his murdered nephew's body and immediately take out your phone to film it. Takeoff deserved better. This is disgusting.

Whatever goes through people’s minds when recording this, no one will ever know. The decision to record instead of helping the person in need is a trend that has been normalized nowadays, and it’s worrying.
