Marlon Wayans’ dispute with airline employee over baggage

The popular comedian and actor was traveling to Kansas City for his performance via United Airlines. He was supposed to board the flight from Denver International Airport on Friday. However, when he was getting on the flight, a gate agent told him that he has too many bags for boarding and asked for checking.

The actor shared an Instagram post where he wrote,

“I complied and consolidated them, (and) he was like, ‘Oh, now you have to check that bag.’ Most agents are always love, but every now and then you come across BAD PEOPLE. This was one of them.”

Wayans was given a ticket by Denver Police Department for disturbing the peace of the passengers. He will have to return to Denver on July 11 for the accountability of charges in court.

The actor further wrote,

“Yes, a ticket … that’s all they could give me. Dude tried to lie and say I assaulted him. The video clearly shows I never touched him. He was desperate to try to have some authority.”

The comedian demanded compensation from the airlines for his missed flight and missed shows in Kansas City.

Marlon Wayans accused flight agent of discrimination and racism

In the post shared by the comedian, the White Chicks actor revealed that the agent was trying to pick a fight with him. He said,

“This agent was clearly picking on me. He asked me to consolidate my bags and I complied.” 

“I grabbed my ticket off the counter (and) got on the plane.”

However, the actor was asked to vacate the flight. As he missed the flight, he also missed his comedy show in Kansas City, Missouri. The 50-year-old star wrote,

“Y’all owe me money for my shows I missed, y’all owe me for my troubles, y’all owe my fans a damn apology. This was the highest level of disrespect. And should’ve been avoided.”

He added,

“Black people (experience) all kinds of racism and classism. I won’t allow this. Over a bag?”

The actor shared in another post,

“All I received from @united was one measly phone call from someone in corporate explain to me policies I abused by. When your passengers are disrespected, inconvenienced, and harassed there should be a lot more done and a whole lot quicker… I’m waiting.”

“I hope the agent that made me miss my flight feels content knowing you fucked up a lot of people’s Friday night in KANSAS CITY. You messed with the wrong ni*** I mean white chick today buddy.”

On Saturday, Marlon Wayans shared in a video that the United’s corporate crew contacted him and defended the gate agent saying there was no more space on the aircraft.
