“Ohh! Yeah! Jim Corrigan, the Spectre (old DC comics character). That would be a fun one. But that’s a hard one to pull off because he’s virtually invincible, he has no weakness. You need characters that have kryptonite, that have a flaw, but he’s kinda unbeatable. But that would be a fun one. — Cage”

Well, it would be great to see if DC actually hears Cage’s wish and cast him in the role.

Nicolas Cage played the titular character of Ghost Rider in the 2007 Mark Steven Johnson-helmed film. The superhero film lasted for only two movies and the third sequel never came out. The reason behind it was that Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance was a complete disappointment and did poorly at the box office. Nic Cage also stepped down from his character because of this. In a past interview with the outlet Variety, The Mom and Dad actor showed disinterest in Marvel Studios and tried to subtly shade them.

“I don’t need to be in the MCU, I’m Nic Cage. I’ve gotta be nice about Marvel movies because I named myself after a Stan Lee character named Luke Cage,” he said in winning Variety’s Legend & Groundbreaker Award. “What am I going to do, put Marvel movies down? Stan Lee is my surrealistic father. He named me.”

Previously, a rumor was making rounds on the internet about Marvel approaching Nicolas Cage to reprise his role as Ghost Rider in his upcoming big film Avengers: Secret Wars.
