It is safe to say that the dynamic between Jackman and Reynolds can single-handedly make the film the highest-grossing movie of the year. However, a recent clip targeted at their female audience seemed to have involved another person in their running gag.

In the comments of their most recent post, Jenn Tran accused Reynolds of lying to her about an agreement they almost had.

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman Tried to Get Their Female Audience Interested

In a recent post made by Ryan Reynolds, Deadpool and Wolverine were trying to get an entirely new demographic of women interested in watching their upcoming film. The clip started with Hugh Jackman lying on a couch, only to quickly get up and complain that he wasn’t going to sell himself like that.

Ryan Reynolds quickly walked into the shot and explained that the Gen Z audience and women from the ages of 18 to 49 were a very important demographic for them to please. Reluctantly, Wolverine agreed that he would walk off camera with his back to the audience, and Deadpool could do the promotion.

As Reynolds began to talk, he hinted to the cameraman to zoom into Wolverine’s backside and maintain their shot in order to get their demographic more interesting. While the entire segment was a hilarious joke, it was what Jackman said after he turned that seemed to have caught someone’s attention.

Did Ryan Reynolds Lie to Jenn Tran?

After Reynolds was done talking, Jackman turned and, still in character, mentioned how he was manipulated into being a part of the clip. It would seem that Deadpool promised Wolverine that The Bachelorette was going to come. However, the clip only had our beloved Ketchup and Mustard.

Interestingly enough, this wasn’t the only lie that Deadpool told, as Jenn Tran was quick to comment on the post. It would seem that when she is not busy making history as the first Asian-American to lead The Bachelorette, she is being talked into making cameos for Deadpool & Wolverine.

Wait you told me that Wolverine didn’t want to meet me… I can’t believe you’d lie to me like this!

The Internet personality commented on the post that Deadpool had told her that Wolverine was not interested in meeting her, which was an obvious lie. Appalled at how blatantly he lied to her, Tran was not shy when calling him out. While the entire situation was a hilarious joke, there is no denying that the promotional material for the film is on point in every way.
