Anthony Mackie has been introduced as Falcon in the MCU in 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Since then, his role has continued to expand, eventually handling the Captain America mantle in the upcoming film, Captain America: Brave New World.
While the trailer and spoilers are already exciting fans, Mackie is making sure that his frenemy aka his fellow Marvel star, Tom Holland gets a taste of his new jab. Ever since their 2018 interaction, the duo continues to tease one another on numerous occasions.
As Mackie’s upcoming movie is coming closer to its release date, he is leaving no stone unturned to keep the latter involved, which is only re-igniting their years-old friendly feud.

Their playful beef began during the press tours for Captain America: Civil War in 2016. Holland, who was relatively new in the MCU at the time, found himself the target of the former’s playful jabs.
Things got heated up in 2018 when The Crowded Room actor teased the Twisted Metal actor for not having a standalone Falcon film after Mackie stated he hadn’t watched Spider-Man: Homecoming (via YouTube).
Not just that, Mackie has even mentioned that he would make sure that Holland attends the premiere of his upcoming film where he’ll make him watch the movie.
While it seems like there won’t be any end to their playful banter, the upcoming film surely looks promising, bringing a stellar cast including Danny Ramirez, Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, Tim Blake Nelson, and Harrison Ford.
