Oh my God, you’d never say that to a man. Don’t be a dick, otherwise I’ll move off. Don’t say ‘show me leg.’ No.”

Waddingham earned praise from netizens for the way she handled the incident. In an interview with Glamour Magazine, she shared how important it is to speak out and confront people, especially the s*xist ones.

My dad taught me to call out misogyny from a young age. When it comes to dealing with s*xism, especially in my industry, I was on the receiving end of it mostly when I was modelling back in my twenties, with some of the nonsense that misogynistic male photographers would throw at me to put me in my place.”

She always makes sure to stand her ground and never let her offender get away with their crimes. In fact, she has mastered the art of appearing like someone you don’t want to mess with.

I called them out straight away – and they would then try to fight their corner, but I never let it go; I always called it out – but back then, it was at a time when people didn’t back you up. But I know that I’ve always given off an air of: ‘I will literally kill you if you treat me like that!’

For someone who has been in the industry for many years, Waddingham learned her lessons the hard way, and so, she makes sure they never happen to her again.

As someone who has extensive work in the theatre industry, Waddingham was ecstatic when she found out she would be hosting this year’s Olivier Awards again (via WhatsOnStage):

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be invited back to play at the Royal Albert Hall for the Olivier Awards two years in a row. It’s my total honor to be celebrating another magnificent year of London Theatre. Let’s do this!

The event took place last April 14th at the Royal Albert Hall with Anthony Van Laast as creative director, Mark Cumberland as orchestrator, Ben Cracknell as lighting designer, and Gareth Valentine as conductor.

For the awards opening, Waddingham shared the stage with singer and pianist Joe Stilgoe, and gave an incredible performance.
