Although the role went to Hemsworth, Joel Kinnaman could have also brought a completely new face to the MCU hero. Also noteworthy is the fact that Kinnaman later went on to play the role of Rick Flagg in the DC Extended Universe films Suicide Squad and The Suicide Squad.
