The mangaka began its serialization in 2015, and the manga is currently ongoing. Even though it is a Shonen anime, the fans often feel a dark vibe emitting from the narrative. Akira Toriyama started the Dragon Ball franchise in 1984 and in 2024, it has become a $23 Billion franchise. Every anime fan knows about the franchise and is considered to be the godfather of the Big Three. Toriyama has inspired countless manga artists, and Yuki Tabata happens to be one of them. The Dragon Ball creator has multiple abilities, but Tabata was influenced by his ability to draw fight scenes from different.
His canvas did not restrict the fight sequences to two-dimensional figures. The dynamism and detailing could make anyone drool. He drew the fight scenes from every angle so the readers and watchers could enjoy the full extent of the fight. He even enlarged his panels so that none would miss the details. During an interview with Le Point, Yuki Tabata praised the late mangaka’s unique abilities.
The Black Clover creator said, “I also have to mention Dragon Ball, which was another source of inspiration in mastering the movements of the characters. Akira Toriyama was able to draw clashes from several angles, it always impressed me.” Son Goku vs. Frieza is one of the lengthiest fights in anime history. The sheer number of episodes proves how much time Akira Toriyama spends to attain perfection and dynamism with every throw of a punch.
Black Clover Managed To Add The Dynamism To Its Fight Sequences
Black Clover has several great fight sequences, and it is fair to say Yuki Tabata did really well. Akira Toriyama’s fight sequences taught him to showcase fight sequences from every angle. The Black Clover mangaka did not restrict Asta and Yuno’s battles to two dimensions. Asta vs. Langris is one of the greatest examples of dynamism, where the protagonist showcased his demonic abilities to defeat Langris in one stroke. The final hit was shown from every angle.
Currently, the final arc is going on in Black Clover. Lucius Zogratis is looking to change the Magic Knights system for his evil motives. The protagonists are trying to put an end to his evil ways. While the manga is ongoing, the anime went on a hiatus after episode 170. The franchise did release a movie, Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King. However, everyone is waiting for the anime’s return to watch the Spade Kingdom Raid arc.
