But Gege Akutami is not infamous for just the killing of characters prematurely, instead, the fans were disappointed when they decided to kill the most popular character of the show, Gojo Satoru. Apart from that, the fans also lashed out at them for killing the female characters. After they killed Yuki Tsukumo and Yorozu on their first showdown, the fans did not waste time addressing this problem, but Gege Akutami was least bothered about the complaints.

Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 episode 22 introduced Yuki Tsukumo, who came to rescue Yuji Itadori from the hands of Kenjaku and Uraume. Even though her entry was pretty impactful and she is one of the most beloved characters of the anime, Gege Akutami decided to kill her on her first onscreen battle. She lost her life against Kenjaku, who countered her Rage Star with a mini Uzumaki and sliced her in half.

While taking her last breath, she used all of her powers to create a black hole, but Kenjaku somehow got out using his anti-gravity ability. In the same way, Yorozu was killed by Ryomen Sukuna. Yorozu showcased great power, but did not last much long, as Sukuna used Mahoraga to break her Domain and kill her. In both instances, the female characters were overly powerful, yet they somehow lost the fight. Yuki Tsukumo could use the Reversed Cursed Technique and even had a Shikigami.

The fans were quite furious with Gege Akutami for killing two powerful female characters without using them to their utmost potential. Yuki Tsukumo never got the chance to use her Domain Expansion, and the fans have only one person to blame. But Gege Akutami remains unaffected by the backlashes. They did not even bother with the fans and went on with their magnum opus.

More on The Jujutsu Kaisen Creator

Gege Akutami loves to play with the fans’ emotions. Whenever a character becomes a fan favourite, they make sure to kill that character in Jujutsu Kaisen. The female characters remain one of the most unused characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. Apart from Yuki and Yorozu, Nobara Kugisaki was also never used to her full potential. Mai Zenin sacrificed herself for her sister to attain the Heavenly Restriction.

It is natural for the fans to feel outraged by Gege Akutami’s female character management. Fortunately, or unfortunately, Gege Akutami takes pride in their work and does not pay much attention to the fans. By now, it should be clear to the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom that nothing is going to change their work ethics. So, it is better to enjoy the anime or manga while it lasts.
