Zachary Levi’s Shazam! Fury of the Gods is greatly increasing its hype, especially after the trailer brought DC fans together in appreciation for the upcoming movie. It was easily able to capture the essence of danger that the fans can expect while still managing to maintain Billy’s upbeat personality. Shazam! and Shazam! Fury of the Gods sees Zachary Levi play the alter ego of the teenager, Billy Batson. The character is quirky, witty, and quick with his comebacks. Being a teenager from within, Batson is heavily connected to pop culture and is aware of all the references that one can make. So naturally, he is surrounded by people who are his age. The movie writers did not miss out on a chance to add the fan-favorite Game of Thrones to the movie, even if via a simple reference.

Levi’s Captain Marvel is seen screaming Khaleesi when punching a dragon as a reference to Emilia Clarke’s character in Game of Thrones, Daenerys Targaryen. She is also referred to as the mother of the dragons and Khaleesi within the show. The reference was out of the blue for fans and it only made them love the trailer even more. While it is still unclear whether Shazam! will be part of the DCU slate, fans are choosing to enjoy what could be the last of Zachary Levi and his Shazam! Family.
