The collective force that translates into social media campaigns of the devoted fanbase of Zack Snyder, or fans of the SnyderVerse, is thunderously loud- their demands are everywhere and they just have to be met. In some cases, they’ve tried and they’ve succeeded as well.

Zack Snyder’s fans went on a social media campaign just a few years ago to demand the release of the full four-hour-long cut of the Justice League movie that wasn’t done any justice at all in 2017. Joss Whedon took over and the movie was a disaster at the box office, as well as in front of critics, and this time his fans want to make it right- but does Snyder approve?

SnyderVerse Fans Have A Very Huge Demand

In all honesty, no matter how tenacious and firm Zack Snyder’s fans were in demanding the Snyder cut for Justice League, it was all worth it in the end. Zack Snyder’s Justice League came about after Warner Bros. succumbed to the pressure of the massive fanbase and what did fans get?- an infinitely better version of the movie than the one that came out in 2017.

But the demands of the Man of Steel director’s fanbase don’t end there. What comes now is a fresh social media campaign by the very same group of fans that want the Snyderverse (as they call it) to be sold to one of the biggest production companies that rival every other – Netflix.

Just like the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut campaign, Snyder’s fans have gone on to create another similar social media campaign with the hashtag #SellTheSnyderVerseToNetflix, whose main demands are the same as the one discussed above.

This comes after the massive revamp that new DC Studios co-heads James Gunn and Peter Safran had initiated in order to get a fresh restart on the franchise, which was called the DCEU and is now renamed as the DCU.

The new era of the popular superhero franchise will start with the release of Superman: Legacy in 2025- two years after The Flash releases, and paves the way for the new path that Gunn and Safran have carved out.

Will Netflix be willing to take up the offer if given? But the larger question here is whether or not Zack Snyder will get a chance to work on his vision for the DCU once again.

James Gunn Dismisses #SellTheSnyderVerseToNetflix Campaign by Zack Snyder’s Fans

It would be quite a drastic step to let go of such an important universe, despite having no intentions to build it further. DC Studios co-CEO, James Gunn has heard of the social media campaign by Zack Snyder’s fans to allow the SnyderVerse to be distributed to the rivaling platform, and he’s not too happy with it.

The #SellTheSnyderVerseToNetflix campaign has Gunn absolutely bamboozled, or as he said in a tweet, “wackiest hashtag ever”-

Another user retweeted Gunn’s tweet asking what they talked about, to which the Guardians of the Galaxy director replied-

That’s quite assuring, to be honest. Zack Snyder‘s fans will have to settle with watching the epic space opera movie called Rebel Moon by the director for now, and then maybe they might get what they want because it worked before as well with the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut campaign.

Rebel Moon is scheduled for a release on Netflix on December 22, 2023.
