This is really sweet. In the midst of promoting Dune: Part Two, Zendaya, once again, has shown us why she’s not only a talented actress but also a supportive girlfriend. In a recent interview with BuzzFeed, the actress, 27, took the opportunity to not only shut down the ongoing debate between Timothée Chalamet & Tom Holland fans but also acknowledge her boyfriend’s “natural gift” of charisma.
When confronted with the question of which of her Dune: Part Two co-stars had the most charisma, Zendaya initially joked about picking herself before praising the Uncharted star. She described him as having “beautiful charisma”, which she is likely fond of. They have been together since November 2021.
Zendaya: Tom Holland Has This ‘Natural Gift’
Tom Holland’s “natural gift” was revealed by Zendaya in a rare reference to their relationship. In a recent interview with Buzzfeed, the Euphoria actress was asked which of her Dune: Part Two co-stars has the most “rizz”.And the actress addressed this while posing another query:
“Rizz is short for charisma, right? Everybody’s kind of got their own.”
After giving her response, she revealed an adorable fact about her partner. Even though Holland was not in Denis Villeneuve’s epic sci-fi space opera flick, Zendaya said:
“I think someone who has beautiful charisma, not on the Dune cast, but I know personally, works for me, is Mr Tom Holland. I’m more shy and kind of quiet, so it takes a little bit more to pull me out of my shell.”
She expressed her appreciation for him with some more cute words and added that he is “great at just talking to people” and getting to know them. The Invisible Beauty star added:
“But he’s great at just talking to people and getting to know people. You see him on talk shows and stuff like that. He’s just naturally very good at that. Whereas for me, I’ve definitely had to pull it out of me a little bit. He’s got that natural gift.”
So, for all the Timothée Chalamet and Tom Holland fans out there, Zendaya appears to have made her choice clear. Who can blame her for admiring her boyfriend’s charm and charisma? Holland, after all, has consistently shown that he is a truly good man in addition to being a gifted actor.
Zendaya on Her Relationship With Tom Holland And ‘Protecting The Peace’
They first made their relationship public in 2021, having met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming, where Zendaya portrayed Tom Holland’s on-screen love interest. Although the couple occasionally appears together in interviews and posts pictures of themselves together on social media, Zendaya has stated that their decision to keep their relationship private is “about protecting the peace”.
In an interview with Elle, the Dune actress shared:
“Parts of my life, I accept, are going to be public. I can’t not be a person and live my life and love the person I love. But also, I do have control over what I choose to share. It’s about protecting the peace and letting things be your own but also not being afraid to exist. You can’t hide. That’s not fun, either.”
Similar to Zendaya, Holland also expressed that their personal lives are not necessary for others to know in response to the hype surrounding their relationship. The actor, 27, informed The Hollywood Reporter:
“Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of and we want to keep it as sacred as possible…”
Holland also gave a rare look into their romance, explaining how his skills as a carpenter helped him court Zendaya in their early dating years. In an interview with UNILAD, he revealed that he had “fixed” a door for his “girlfriend” at the beginning of their relationship:
“I fixed my girlfriend’s door once. Really early on in our relationship I was hanging out at her house and her door was broken. I was like: ‘I’m gonna fix that door for you’ and now we’re in love.”
We can’t help but be in awe of their chemistry, both on and off-screen. And who knows, maybe we will soon see these two work together again on a project. But until then, let’s bask in the sweetness of Zendaya’s words and appreciate the affection and respect that she has for her boyfriend.
