The Zendaya starrer Euphoria has quite literally given the cinematic world a euphoric experience. The interesting storyline as well as the monologue of teens battling the world of drugs, violence, and s*x, has made the HBO series extremely popular all across the globe.

Although the show is based on the lives of high-school teenagers, it hardly is suitable for them or even for some older audiences. So when Sydney Sweeney’s family decided to watch Euphoria, some of them couldn’t stay till the end thanks to the show’s very graphic depiction.

Sydney Sweeney won hearts with her amazing acting in Euphoria. Her portrayal of the complex character battling the world of high school earned her fame far and wide. However, her family, particularly her dad and grandpa did not enjoy the award-winning series Euphoria, at all.

In a recent interview, the actress revealed how she had discussed the show with her mother and even went ahead to inform her of her character in the show as well as the peculiar raw scenes in the series. But she had failed to tell much about it to her dad.

“My mom visited me on set at the time, so she like knew the story and I talked to her a lot about it – my dad didn’t. I didn’t prepare my dad at all.”

Her dad, unaware of the highly graphic nature of Euphoria, went ahead to watch it along with his parent without telling her or anybody else. Since they were unaware of the shocking nature of the series, they were taken aback and left absolutely shocked. so, it wasn’t much of a surprise when both her dad and grandpa quickly walked away from the show, within minutes of starting.

However, Sweeney’s Grandma wasn’t disturbed in the slightest and even enjoyed the show. Sweeney continued telling how supportive her grandma is, even visiting her sets all over the world.

The Emmy award-winning show, starring Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, etc, has been renewed for a third season after it witnessed a huge rise in viewership since the release of its 8-episode season two. Confirming season three of Euphoria, the Executive VP of HBO Programming said,

“Sam, Zendaya, and the entire cast and crew of Euphoria have taken season two to extraordinary heights, challenging narrative convention and form, while maintaining its heart. We couldn’t be more honored to work with this gifted, wildly talented team or more excited to continue our journey with them into season three.”

With the release date not yet announced, the 14 million viewership awaits eagerly to see what season three has in store for the main characters.

Euphoria is available to stream on HBO Max.
