According to a dedicated player, the title isn’t just fun anymore. The fan doesn’t get that vibe, excitement, and enthusiasm to play this game anymore. Other fans also think Call of Duty is “way past its peak.” Is that really the case?

The player stated that back in the day, they could play the title for hours. Hoozah1 has extensive experience in Call of Duty, with titles like Modern Warfare 2, Black Ops 1, Black Ops 2, Modern Warfare 3, and Ghosts. They even had 35+ days and 15+ days of playtime on Black Ops 2 and Ghosts, respectively.

However, according to him, after Ghosts, the franchise “took a huge nosedive.” This player who has these huge amounts of playing hours can’t play any new title in the franchise anymore for more than an hour. Even other fans also have shown immense dissatisfaction regarding the franchise.

Another fan is more critical with his words. He thinks the game is going downhill day by day gradually with their newer titles.

What Is the Reason for Call of Duty’s Downfall?

The player stated that they don’t like the multiplayer at all or that he might be getting older. So, the reason for the game not giving the same feeling anymore might be a mixture of these two aspects. Initially, players used to dive into the battle arena of the game just to relax and enjoy the game.

Call of Duty these days has become stressful, without any fun or emotion, just raw competition and a rat race to see who climbs the rank faster, according to Hoozah 1. He has also stated that the more content Activision is adding to new titles, the more unfun it’s getting day by day.

At the very end this fan is advising the developing company to leave it as simple as it was in the past. It can only be hoped that Call of Duty gets revived and comes back to wear its lost crown once again.
