Hooda is making his directorial debut and also starring in the upcoming biopic Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, where he will play the real-life Indian freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. He recently shared the prep work he did for the role, by posting an Instagram photo of him taking a selfie. The actor’s drastic physical transformation is shocking as he looks completely thin.

Fans were quick to compare the transformation to what Christian Bale did for his 2004 film The Machinist. One fan commented, “Damnn Our own Christian Bale!” Another fan was stunned by the actor’s dedication and wrote, “Just look at the dedication… hats off!” The comparison is palpable as both actors lost a lot of weight for their roles.

One fan pointed out the similar transformation he did for his 2016 film Sarbjit and commented, “You did this for Sarabjit also hats off to you for this huge respect.” It’s not surprising that the actor went to great lengths to authentically portray his role. He is one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood and people are ready to see his unbelievable turn with this film.

Chris Hemsworth is stepping into the world of Mad Max with the upcoming prequel film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. The actor will play the villain Dementus, pitting him against Anya Taylor-Joy‘s Furiosa. In an interview with GQ, Hemsworth recalled how he came to the sets of the film exhausted.

However, by the first week of production, all his exhaustion turned into excitement and creative fulfillment as an actor doing the project. He called the experience of shooting the film the best one yet and the one he’s most proud of. He said,

I came into that film exhausted. I thought, ‘How am I going to get through this?’”. Week one of rehearsals with [Miller], all of a sudden it was this reigniting of my creative energy,” the actor adds, exclaiming that the film is “by far the best experience of my career and something I feel the most proud of. It made me think, the work isn’t what’s exhausting, it’s what kind of work it is, and how invested I am in it and if it is challenging in the right ways”.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga will delve into the origin story of a young Furiosa (played by Charlie Theron in 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road). The film recently released a new trailer and fans are pumped to return to the Mad Max world after the thrill they experienced with Theron’s film. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga will hit theatres on May 24, 2024.
