The latter had him star as Bane, whose towering physique and intimidating aura instill fear in the people of Gotham and even Batman. One might think that the actor is also intense in reality. However, Hardy is a total goofball and a sweetheart in real life and his Kids Interview with BBC1 proves it.

Tom Hardy has mesmerized audiences with his brilliant performances in many of his films. The actor has developed the reputation of being a chameleon and slipping into intense characters that would be challenging to play. Roles like Bane in The Dark Knight Rises presented the actor in an intimidating way and sent chills down the spine with his towering performance.
On the other hand, the actor is a complete contrast to the intense roles he plays on screen in real life. In various of his interviews, Hardy is always seen having fun and goofing around with his castmates. One particular interview in which he answers questions of young kids is especially adorable and his charming answer is an absolute winner.
When a young boy named Jimmy asks Hardy whether he loves goldfish more than humans, the actor states that all sentient beings are important. However, when they come at a person to harm them, Hardy states that he must send them away with love (with a stick). Hardy said (via Instagram),
All sentient beings are important you know. So, I don’t think you can love anything that’s not sentient more than the other, you know. And we can see ourselves in all living things. Someone has to care about everything and approach it with love. Unless of course, it attacks you in which case lovingly, see it off with a big stick…dispatch it with the love man.
The interview is sweet and Hardy’s answer is the icing on the cake. As innocent as the boy’s question was, Hardy treated it seriously and showed his charming side with his optimistic answer. Fans who loved his on-screen performances will be entertained by this interview which shows a side of him that they rarely get to see on-screen.

In the past 2-3 weeks, news revealing the cast of the upcoming third installment of Knives Out started rolling out one by one. Among them was the rumor that Tom Hardy would be joining the third film. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the actor was made aware of this rumor.
The actor stated that he was not called up to appear in the film. Hardy claimed that he also read the rumors and was surprised at reading them. He also thinks that the idea of him joining the Knives Out franchise sounds cool. The Venom actor said,
This came out in the Google machine this morning, even I was like ‘What’s this?’ Someone’s gotta ask me. Sounds cool, but no one’s asked me. That’s showbiz, right? Maybe I am in it!
Knives Out 3 has officially rounded up its cast and Hardy is not included in it. The actor has a big release coming up in the form of The Bikeriders, directed by Jeff Nichols. Austin Butler and Jodie Comer also star in the film, which hits theaters on June 21, 2024.
