No water is going to put out the metaphorical fire Kendrick Lamar is on, least of all Drake.
Ever since two of the most influential rappers from the industry have locked horns, fans have been burning with anticipation to watch their next move. But while Drake was playing checkers, the ‘Money Trees’ artist seemed to be playing chess with the way things are now unfolding in their infamous beef.
Not only has Lamar secured the support of some of the biggest names in the game, the likes of which include Dr. Dre and Jay Rock, but he even got NBA legends to back him up. Looks like Lady Luck isn’t a fan of Drake either.
This NBA Icon Is Officially Team Kendrick Lamar
Tons of A-lister celebs and famous rappers joined Kendrick Lamar as the 37-year-old performed his sundry Drake diss tracks at his ‘Pop Out’ show on Wednesday night in Los Angeles. As it turns out, even NBA stars, including the global basketball icon LeBron James, have officially picked sides. And spoiler alert, it’s not with Drake (via Forbes).
Lamar – who performed the chart-topping diss aimed at Drake, ‘Not Like Us,’ five times at the concert – made headlines after sundry star-studded guests united with him onstage. From NBA players like Russell Westbrook and DeMar DeRozan to popular rappers including Schoolboy Q, Dr. Dre, and YG, joined Lamar as he demolished Drake through a song.
Meanwhile, LeBron was also spotted thoroughly enjoying and as the Gen Z would put it, vibing at the show. With the bevy of hotshots in presence at the concert, fans are convinced that the only thing Drake is winning is mortification as the DNA singer makes victory laps across L.A. (via Ballplayers on Instagram).
One user wrote, “Doesn’t look like Kendrick lost to me,” as another remarked how Lamar “destroyed Drake.” In any case, the latter is certainly not making any leaps as far as his falling-out with Lamar goes. At least not at the moment anyways.
Kanye West’s Daughter Attended Kendrick Lamar’s Concert
Even Ye’s (Kanye West) daughter, North West, was present at the Lamar show which has turned into the talk of the town, hooting and hollering for the star of the night (via Rap-Up on Instagram).

In the ever-simmering feud between Drake and Lamar, the 47-year-old ‘Praise God’ singer, not quite shockingly enough, recently chose Team Kendrick after dissing the Canadian rapper on a remix of Lamar, Future, and Metro Boomin’s song ‘Like That’. “I can’t even think of a Drake line,” Ye said.
It’s interesting, to say the least, since not too long ago, Ye roasted both Lamar and Drake, claiming how he “washed out” each artist on ‘No More Parties in L.A.’ and at the 2021 Larry Hoover Benefit concert, respectively (via Billboard).
Nevertheless, the heated tussle between Lamar and Drake continues to spread like a forest fire and we are yet to see who outshines whom. From the looks of it though, things are not faring well for Drake.
