While Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is looking to be a great game, the developers’ recent decision has confused a few fans. Even though the game is a good few months away from its release, Spike Chunsoft has already revealed what players will get with the DLC.

This has ruffled some feathers, as revealing the content of DLC already suggests to some fans that they are purposefully selling an incomplete base game. However, unveiling the content of DLCs even before the base game is released has become a norm over the past decade, so Spike Chunsoft isn’t doing anything necessarily out of the blue.

Revealing Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero DLC Content Beforehand Shouldn’t be Criticized

According to Reddit user r/pkjoan, revealing what players will get in DLC even before the base game is out could be a shady move. The user suggests that even though it’s understandable that DLC was likely developed alongside the base game, revealing it so early gives the impression the base game has incomplete content, so it becomes necessary to buy the DLC.

Of course, there is some truth to this, but this isn’t a new trend. It has become reasonably common for games to announce a season pass, which offers lucrative content that pushes players to buy the pass along with the base game.

Am I the only one that finds it shady that the game isn’t even out and they already announced who’s going to be DLC?

Many users on the same thread quickly pointed out that this is how most games operate now. After all, the ultimate aim of any game is to sell as many copies as possible, and attaching a DLC/season pass to it only improves its chances of earning more money.

Although Spike Chunsoft‘s move might initially seem questionable, understanding that it’s the norm now that we get to see DLC beforehand makes it more acceptable. Furthermore, if the gaming studio is to be criticized, a long list of other games follow the same model.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero’s Final Trailer Needs To Be Epic

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero gameplay reveals over the past few months have captivated fans. The impressive visuals reflect the use of Unreal Engine 5, and with a long list of characters to pick from, the game has made it to every Dragon Ball fan’s wishlist.

The only thing needed now is for Bandai Namco to cap off the hype built around the game by releasing a trailer that takes the excitement to the next level. While many ideas are floating regarding who could feature in the final trailer, a battle between the past and future versions of the same character takes the cake.

They could also put a new character in the final trailer, which would turn some heads. Whatever the case may be, an epic final trailer would be a cherry on top.
