The game will feature over 100 playable characters and deliver many exciting what-if? scenarios for players to engage in. One such character inclusion has fans buzzing with excitement about the execution of their game play.

Mr. Satan is a Unique Character In Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero

The character in question, Mr. Satan, or Hercule, is a much-maligned character among the fanbase. Mr. Satan is a regular human being with no special abilities or superpowers, which makes his fighting against the immensely powerful characters of the Dragon Ball universe quite questionable. How can he expect to stand up against the likes of Goku when he’s a coward who can’t fight?

In previous entries in the series, Mr. Satan was equipped with a jetpack so he could fly around like his super-powered opponents, and he even had the ability to charge his ki to fight.

Essentially, they took a character with no abilities and beefed him up so he could throw down with the heavy hitters. Well, this time around, the developers have opted for a much more fun approach, which fans are loving. This exciting take on the character comes after a big change was made to another character.

In a post on Twitter/X, user ZiedTa pointed out, “We finally know why he doesn’t have a jetpack; a simple answer is that he just doesn’t fly.”. In the gameplay clip, we see Mr. Satan is confined to the ground, which will make playing as him interesting when his opponents are airborne.

Mr. Satan also calls in his best friend, Majin Buu, to assist in one of his attacks because Buu has superpowers and Satan does not. Finally, for some fun flavor, Mr. Satan charges his powers with confetti and stage lights, representing that he is performing for the watching public and that everything about him is fake.

Fans Are Mostly Onboard With The Character Design

Fans were thrilled about this take on the characters fighting style, with one commenting, “Mr. Satan is figuratively and literally the hype.” This is a genuinely great way to bring a character like this into the game, doubling down on the fun idiosyncrasies to make a character that stands out.

Similar to when Minecraft protagonist Steve was introduced to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, players had to mine for resources and craft weapons mid-brawl, making for a super unique gameplay experience.

Not everyone shared the excitement; one commented, “Idk how I feel about this; rather, he have it,” in reference to Satan’s jetpack, which is a fair criticism. The character is at a disadvantage without the ability to fly, but the overall approach makes him more interesting without it.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is looking to be a win for fans; the action looks exciting, and they seem to be going in the right direction with character gameplay choices. Players have a lot to look forward to when the game launches on October 11th this year. But what do you think? Are you looking forward to playing as Mr. Satan and using his unique abilities?
