Christmas has come early for fans of Fortnite and Elden Ring alike. The release of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC tied with new mythic, modes, and features being introduced in Epic Games’ title is surely enough to set June as one of the greatest months in 2024 for the gaming community.

However, added recently, there remains a weapon in the popular battle royale that no player has been able to master yet, something which the fans of FromSoftware titles’ would be able to relate to. Introduced in the game’s collaboration with Metallica, The Ride the Lightning offers the player a decent blend of mobility and the ability to deal damage to opponents.

Resembling a modified guitar, the mythic can be found throughout the game’s map in chests and floor-loot. Alternatively, players can get their hands on the weapon by heading towards the floating Metallica Loot Island, which is set to spawn from a rift in the sky in the middle of every match.

Unfortunately, as much as they would like to, nobody seems to have gotten a hang of this new weapon yet, making fans wonder if this is one of the most confusing items added to Fortnite yet. Similar stances were taken to the internet by the players, questioning their fellow gamers if anyone has figured it out yet:

Has anybody actually managed to hit somebody with this? I need to git gud.

Determining how to use a certain equipment, which can potentially prove to be overpowered is a phenomenon that an average Elden Ring player suffers from often, making it the reason why some gamers would have been taken back to The Lands Between when they first stumbled upon the Ride the Lightning mythic.

Figuring out how to use a guitar with electric arcs coming out of it can prove to be a difficult task and the best way to learn it would be by understanding the basic mechanics it offers to the players.

As discussed before, the Ride the Lightning Mythic can be used for multiple purposes, one of which is to traverse across the battle island, using the guitar like the previously introduced Kinetic Blade item.

Furthermore, if a player wishes to, they can slam down on the ground with enemies nearby in an overwhelming and ‘electric’ manner, much like a meteor falling from the sky, except with a lot of inaccuracy, making it hard to aim at the ground while in the air.
