Over the years, Miyazaki has talked about numerous projects and what will come after certain games. He always mentioned that a possible next game will have nothing to do with a Soulslike. But Miyazaki has not even mentioned a future project after Shadow of the Erdtree.
Hidetaka Miyazaki is Moving Away from the Soulslike genre, and Elden Ring Could be the Last One for Several Years
FromSoftware popular director, Hidetaka Miyazaki knows very well how to give fans what they want. In just a couple of years, he has accomplished various Game of the Year awards, with Elden Ring and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
This talented director is very beloved by fans, who are always paying attention to what other projects will be launched in the future. Miyazaki had mentioned in the past how eventually he will be stepping down from the soulslike genre to test out new ideas; after Elden Ring, there is no certainty about what game he could be involved in.
A little before the launch of Dark Souls 3, in an interview with GameSpot, Miyazaki talked about how it wouldn’t be a correct choice to always keep making Soulslikes. He said,
It’d be a lie if I said I have no concerns about that. I don’t think it’d be the right choice to continue indefinitely creating Souls and Bloodborne games.
He is really aware that eventually the soulslike genre will wear out and fans will prefer another kind of game. There is no news about what kind of game will be coming out after the launch of Shadow of the Erdtree.

After almost 10 titles with similar premises and mechanics, Miyazaki is looking for a new way to impress fans and make them interested in a new possible IP.
There is not even one rumor about the next project that FromSoftware will reveal. Miyazaki has not talked about any other games; he just mentioned that in the future, there will be more directors for the games of this studio.
Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, will be released on June 21 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The expansion will cost $39.99 and will require the Elden Ring base game to be played. From Software and Hidetaka Miyazaki recommend completing the game before playing the DLC.
