While on the festival grounds, she accidentally bumped into Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright, the team behind the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy. They were giving an interview, probably talking about the 20-year anniversary of their zombie comedy film, Shaun of the Dead.

Wright pulled a hesitant Pugh right into the interview to have a quick chat. She was hesitant at first, sharing, “I’m not in any of their films.” But Edgar Wright had one question for Pugh, asking her about her opinion on Shaun of the Dead. Pugh was in a hurry to leave, but that didn’t stop her from expressing her love for the film.

She shared that she grew up on the film and even confessed that she watched it too young when she shouldn’t have. Pugh shared with Pegg and Wright (via Rolling Stone UK | TikTok):

Oh my goodness, I love that movie. I grew up on that movie. I shouldn’t have watched it that young.

Pugh is right when she shared that she shouldn’t have watched the film at a young age, as it carried an R rating for language and graphic violence. The horror film was met with critical and commercial success, grossing $38.7 million against a mere $6 million budget (via Box Office Mojo).

While appearing at a Q&A session at the Glastonbury Festival, Florence Pugh wore a floral headpiece that reminded many of her one movie. Pugh wore a similar flower crown in her 2019 horror flick Midsommar.

She combined the Midsommar-inspired headpiece with a sleeveless black dress with two thigh-high slits. She wore combat boots for the occasion and went for a Bohemian style with her accessories and ornaments.

In the A24 flick, she played a young woman who is drawn into a violent cult in rural Sweden in Ari Aster’s film. Pugh’s Dani becomes the May Queen of the cult and gets crowned with the floral gear. The Black Widow actress’s performance drew appreciation from the critics, although the film had a polarizing reaction from the audience.

Shaun of the Dead is available for rent on AppleTV+, while Midsommar is available for streaming on Max.
