Hopefully, these improvements will be made in the future using player feedback, something that the XDefiant team takes very seriously. For instance, Mark Rubin, the executive producer of the game, has announced that due to players’ demand, the one-life Bomb! game mode is coming early.

In a recent interview with IGN, Mark Rubin and Safy Saada were asked to explain how they decide what changes they need to make to XDefiant depending on players’ feedback. Saada replied,

As always. there are feedbacks – it’s for how to compile all that but we have great tools and great team to do that. Then we also have data team that is allowing us to look at all the data that is coming from the game. Then we try to combine all those things to see really what makes sense to change.

This simple move helps Ubisoft in understanding the certain areas where they have to focus on. Player feedback is undoubtedly the best way to improve a game and Ubisoft is doing exactly that to keep the players hooked.

It’s heading in the right direction as the game already has more number of active players than many popular shooting video games.

Mark Rubin further added that they plan to be transparent with the community so they will soon share the data with the community as well. He said,

One of the big focuses for us has always been transparency so, I’m planning on sharing the data that we collect and not just say, ‘Woah, the data says we’re not gonna do that.’ We’re gonna show the data and we’ll talk about it with our community and make decisions together.

Rubin has a lot of experience in this genre, so it is safe to say that he understands the value of players’ feedback. The first season of XDefiant was teased at the Ubisoft Forward 2024, giving players the first look at the new faction, GSK.

Apart from this, three new maps and Capture the Flag game mode will be added to the game. Another game mode called Bomb! is expected to be released with season 1 on 2nd July 2024 as Rubin saw all the enthusiastic messages from the community.
