The Cliffhanger Decision in Gears 5 Will Take Time
Gears 5, released in 2019, left players with a jaw-dropping cliffhanger. The game ended with a major character’s fate hanging in the balance, leaving fans desperate for answers. The story of Kait Diaz, the protagonist of Gears 5, took a dark and emotional turn, revealing more about her connection to the Locust Horde. The game ended with a choice that players had to make, choosing between saving either JD Fenix or Del Walker.

What Will Gears of War E-Day Be About?
Gears of War E-Day, also known as Emergence Day, is one of the most pivotal moments in the Gears of War universe This event happened several years before the events of the first game. On this day, the Locust Horde surfaced from the underground tunnels of Sera.
They attacked human cities without warning, causing mass destruction and chaos. The Locusts had been living underground for years, preparing for this invasion, and their sudden emergence caught humanity completely off guard.
The initial attack devastated the human population. Cities were destroyed, and millions of lives were lost. The surprise of the Locust assault overwhelmed the COG (Coalition of Ordered Governments) forces, who were not prepared for such a massive and coordinated attack.
The COG implemented the use of the Hammer of Dawn, a satellite-based weapon, to destroy entire cities to prevent them from falling into Locust hands. This decision saved many lives but also resulted in significant civilian casualties and left large parts of Sera in ruins and destruction.
Gears of War E-Day also had a big impact on the characters in the series. Marcus Fenix, the series’ main protagonist, fought in the Locust War and was imprisoned for abandoning his post in a failed attempt to save his father during the conflict.
