Haikyuu: The Dumpster Battle is set for release on May 31st

Ever since Haikyuu began, one thing has been foreshadowed numerous times in the story: Karasuno’s revival and the inevitable clash between them and Nekoma High’s volleyball team.

The first arc of the series dwells on the rich history between them and how, over time, their power faded away. However, their revival is complete, as both teams have reached their peak and are looking to duke it out in front of thousands of spectators in round three of the Tokyo Nationals.

Kenma’s desire to have a match where they can’t restart is finally here, and who will come out on top? The unhinged Karasuno, who can’t be stopped even by the runner-ups of the previous tournament, or Nekoma’s impenetrable defense, which shatters the attackers of the opposite team?

Is Haikyuu the best sports anime ever?

Some debates will never end, and whether Haikyuu is the greatest sports anime ever or not is one of them. Fans of the series pitch the idea of it being the best, but on the other hand, some viewers are not so aligned with this idea.

The sports genre has evolved a lot over the years, as Slam Dunk was the pioneer for the genre’s popularity, which Haikyuu took more forward. The debates between fandoms will never end; however, each series has a different approach and is unique in its aspects.

Haikyuu: The Dumpster Battle is going to be the second-last movie in the franchise and will adapt a good amount of chapters, with the final movie adapting the time skip and the ending of Haruichi Furudate’s magnum opus.
