Bob Odenkirk is unarguably one of the most talented actors in the entire entertainment industry, having worked in masterpieces among the likes of the Better Call Saul television series. But when it comes to getting appreciated by the Academy, he has been left holding on to mere nominations, never really making it to the winning stage. And as it turns out, he isn’t the only one.
Surprisingly enough, one other actor, who has starred in the superhit The Walking Dead television series, has faced a similar fate. This actor is none other than Andrew Lincoln, who, quite literally, gave some of the best performances of his lifetime in this respective series but failed even to get acknowledged by the Academy. And fans are anything but happy about this.
Just Like Bob Odenkirk, the Academy Failed Andrew Lincoln As Well
As fans already know, if there is one thing Andrew Lincoln is best known for out of all the spectacular roles he has donned to date, it is his performance as Rick Grimes in the Walking Dead television series. If anything, he set the perfect example of how to bring the lead protagonist of a zombie apocalypse show to life.
Not only that but he has been thoroughly commended by critics and general audiences for the true remarkableness he brought to the table. In fact, to say that Lincoln is one of the major reasons why the zombie apocalypse drama series reached such extraordinary heights of success wouldn’t be anything even close to an understatement after shedding light on all he has done for the show.
However, when it comes to being acknowledged for the same, the Love Actually actor has to be one of the most royally robbed people on this planet. This is because Lincoln hasn’t even been nominated for a single Emmy award to date despite leading the series with his tremendous portrayal of every aspect of his fan-favorite character in the smash-hit show.
That being said, he makes it evident that Bob Odenkirk isn’t the only incredibly hard-working and magnificently talented actor who has been snubbed one too many times by the Academy. For those who may not know, he has been nominated for a stunning 53 Emmy nominations but could never make it to the winning stage.
With all of this being said, it has become evident that the Academy has been unjust to these two highly skilled actors — something that fans are anything but okay with.
Fans Aren’t Happy With How the Academy Robbed Andrew Lincoln
Be it tears, sweat, or blood, Lincoln was always ready to give it his all throughout his performance as Rick Grimes in The Walking Dead television series. But while other accolades like the Saturn Awards and the Critics’ Choice Television Award at least acknowledged him for his hard work, the Emmys didn’t, at all.

After all of this, it becomes needless to further add just how much Andrew Lincoln deserves to get an Emmy for every single one of the eight seasons in which he phenomenally brought Rick Grimes to life — just like Odenkirk does for the six star-studded seasons he perfectly played Saul Goodman in Better Call Saul over the course of seven and a half years.
