While apart from the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine, we hardly know when we will get to see the live-action versions of the popular mutants. But until we hear more, fans have been busy casting Stranger Things star Sadie Sink in various Marvel roles.

And a young Jean Grey has been the most popular choice of fans. After her impressive performances in Stranger Things and projects like The Whale, fans believe that the young star has the acting chops to portray the complexity and strength of Jean Grey.

With Stranger Things ending soon and the MCU gearing up to bring the mutants to live-action, Sink certainly seems to be a great choice. Yet, not all fans are convinced and want somebody more mature and older to play the role.

A child actress and theatre star, Sadie Sink is an incredible actress, and her performances in both Stranger Things and other projects have showcased her talent and versatility. Yet, not all Marvel fans want the actress to play a role like Jean Grey.

As soon as the actress’ fan-casting went viral across the internet, many have been arguing that Jean Grey should instead be portrayed by a more seasoned and established actress. Some even stated how Sink is a better choice to play Hope Summers.

While the fan debate about her casting is not going to be over soon, it should be kept in mind that her being Jean Grey is just fan recommendations. Although it would be interesting to see the actress in a Marvel role, it’s curious to see how Marvel Studios approaches the casting of the iconic X-Men characters .

As for now, it will probably be years before the X-Men are truly brought to the live-action verse of the MCU in more prominent roles.
