First launched back in 2006, the Call of Juarez series is perhaps viewed by many Western fans as the precursor to the Red Dead series and it’s easy to see why similarities can be drawn. However, many players are split over whether Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood is superior to its predecessor.

Could Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood be seen as an adequate replacement as the wait goes on for Red Dead Redemption 2.

The Prime Gaming offers will be available in the run-up to Prime Day on 16 July and along with the Call of Juarez game, there are other titles which are worth picking up for free. Sure, some of the games may not be the best titles of their time but free games are free games and worth a spot in any gamers library.

Amazon Prime members can take full advantage of this offer and along with the aforementioned Western, there are several noteworthy titles including – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, Hitman Absolution, and probably most notably for some, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 – The Sith Lords.

In addition to the 15 free games available, there are also the Prime games for the month which also includes another Star Wars title in the form of Star Wars: Battlefront 2.

When you think of free games, perhaps your first thought would not be towards Prime for some decent pickups. There are many who would probably suggest going to Steam to see what is available for free or failing that, check out other subscription services which may have a deal.

However, perhaps it is time that players actually sat up and took notice of what Prime has on offer, as there are some diamonds in the rough. Ahead of the Fallout series premiering back in April, they ramped up the popularity of the franchise by giving away Fallout 76 for free. Which is a pretty good piece of marketing whichever way you look at it.

Despite this, there are many fans who are still waiting to see Red Dead Redemption 2 ported to the PC. However, it may be that this somewhat lesser-known Western title published by Ubisoft may just be an adequate replacement in the meantime. As prequels go, it may not have the standard of writing as the Rockstar title but it is still enjoyable nonetheless.
