In 1994, the spotlight shifted onto former football player O.J. Simpson following the tragic murders of his second ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ron Goldman. Despite being the primary suspect, the footballer was not convicted of the crimes and took the nation by storm. Decades later, the ex-boyfriend of O.J. Simpson’s daughter is now speaking out, revealing that Sydney Brooke Simpson allegedly felt apprehensive about sharing her experiences with the public.
Why Sydney Brooke Simpson is Afraid to Speak Out About Her Mother’s Death
O.J. Simpson, the former football star, has five children, two of whom are with his second wife, Nicole Brown Simpson. Sydney Brooke Simpson lost her mother when she was only 8 years old. The news sparked international attention, with the internet still divided on whether Simpson committed the crime. Naturally, when Stuart Alexander Lee, Brooke’s ex-boyfriend, decided to do an interview with Radar Online in 2019, it garnered significant attention.
According to Lee, Brooke has been diligently focused on building her own path, despite being a central figure in one of the most notorious criminal cases in modern history. And further discussed why she has chosen to remain largely silent about her father and her mother’s untimely demise. He said,
“She doesn’t understand that her story could help someone else–When I was with her, I got friends in the industry I tried to set her up with, and she said fame is a scary thing. It’s so real to tell your side of the story. Everybody contacts her to speak out,–She could be an inspiration to so many people, but she’s scared. She doesn’t understand. Hopefully, one day she will.”
Sydney Brooke Simpson Doesn’t Believe O.J. Simpson Did It!
The lingering question remains: Did O.J. do it? Suspicions arose after the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman in 1994, with O.J. Simpson becoming the prime suspect. His history of domestic violence with Brown Simpson and incriminating evidence found at the crime scene, including a bloody glove, fueled speculation.
But Sydney Brooke doesn’t think her father did it, in the same Radar Online conversation, the ex-boyfriend revealed,
“[In private]She talked about the murders, of course. Of course she talked about it. The way she feels, she doesn’t feel like he did it. They speculate that it was a drug deal gone bad,–May she rest in peace, but Nicole’s throat was cut like a Colombian necktie. Sydney doesn’t believe O.J. did it, but she doesn’t know what to believe. The media changes, and how the police changed the whole situation… Either way, her mother died.”
Losing a mother is challenging for anyone, particularly for a child, given Sydney Brooke Simpson was only 8 during this tragedy. That’s why she’s determined to keep her personal life private, no matter what happens. She wants to leave the past behind and protect herself from all the attention. Even though it’s been hard for her, Brooke is strong and focused on living her life her own way, away from all the noise and gossip.
