NFL Hall of Famer O.J. Simpson passed away at the age of 76 due to prostate cancer. Simpson was acquitted of charges of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown in the infamous “trial of the century” in 1995. He later served nine years in prison for charges, including kidnapping and armed robbery. In his final days, anyone who needed to say their goodbyes to the star had to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
This included his four children — Arnelle, Jason, Sydney, and Justin, friends, other relatives, celebrities, and medical professionals. According to reports, around 30 to 50 people reportedly signed the NDA to see the dying football player.
O.J. Simpson’s Friends And Family Had To Sign NDAs To Visit Him In Death Bed
O.J. Simpson was surrounded by loved ones when he passed away on April 10 due to prostate cancer. In the note posted to X by his family, they noted that the Naked Gun actor had his children and grandchildren by his side during his death. Interestingly, all visitors, including his children, had to sign NDAs to see him.
According to TMZ, an insider source shared that friends and family said their goodbyes to the former NFL player only after signing these non-disclosure agreements. The NDAs reportedly gave Simpson privacy during his final days. Interestingly, even medical professionals who took care of him during these difficult days had to sign the NDA.
The TMZ report also suggests that around 30 to 50 people including some celebrities signed the papers before seeing the star for one last time. Apart from the NDAs, none of his children or other visitors were allowed to bring in their phones into the room when they came to see him. The reported NDAs and no phones policy has led to some unwanted chatters on social media.

Despite the allegations and murder trial, Simpson’s children with Nicole Brown — Sydney Brooke Simpson and Justin Simpson — were among those by his side. TMZ reported that a medical professional who checked on Simpson on April 5 notified the family that he was starting to transition. This allowed all his family to come together for the Roots actor.
Simpson played for the Buffalo Bills for nine seasons from 1969 to 1977 before moving to the San Francisco 49ers for two seasons.
O.J. Simpson Had A Staggering Debt To Pay To The Goldman Family
O.J. Simpson was charged with the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. In the infamous trial, Simpson was found not guilty of the crimes in the criminal court. However, the case had a different outcome at the civil court, which found him guilty of the murders and asked him to pay the victims’ families $33.5 million in damages.
The NFL player had only paid a small amount that he owed to the Goldman family before his death. The interest upon the court-ordered amount kept mounting over the years. According to a Nevada court filing from Ron Goldman’s father, Fred Goldman, in February 2021, Simpson had paid roughly $133,000 of the settlement up until that time (via KTNV Las Vegas).
Ron Goldman’s family may move legally against Simpson’s children to pay up the remaining debt. However, the $3 million fortune inherited by Simpson’s four children cannot be legally obtained by the Goldman family.
