When we last watched The Acolyte in episode five, titled “Night,” there were major setbacks for the Republic. Mae’s master is revealed to be a Sith, and the masked villains turned out to be Qimir all along. However, uncovering this revelation comes at a significant cost to Sol and his team of Jedi, who were searching for Kelnacca.

Sol lost his entire team, except for the adorable tracker, a beaver-like creature named Basil the Tracker, and Osha—or so he thought. Mae pulled a Parent Trap-like switch, going back with Sol and having Qimir abduct her sister Osha, taking her to an unknown planet. This leads to a sixth episode of The Acolyte is a suspenseful outing that deepens the show’s core mystery.

Disney+’s The Acolyte (2024) Season 1 Episode 6 Recap: What does Basil bring back with him on the ship?

Basil brings back Pip, “a handheld repair droid customized by Osha with a wide array of tool attachments and a chipper, can-do personality.” The last time we saw Pip, Osha had put him in Qimir’s shirt so those bug-like monsters would chase him. Osha did this to save Sol, who had to watch Jecki Lon (Dafne Keen) and Yord (Charlie Barnett) die at the hands of the Sith.

Sol (Lee Jung-jae) is devastated as he returns to the ship. He lost his entire team and notified headquarters that it was a setup. He hugs Mae, thinking she is Osha, and thanks her for saving him. Sol also tells her that he will explain everything and make it “right.” However, we are still determining what that means at the moment.

Basil attempts to contain Mae after she is sent below deck to fix the power that went out in the ship. (Sol thinks she is Osha, who was a mechanic.) Again, the cute creature attempts a fighting stance and some fighting training, presumably some “Shii-Cho.” Basil kicks her in the foot and runs away. That is when Mae’s factory resets, poor Pip.

Where Does Qimir Take Osha?

Qimir (Top Gun: Maverick’s Manny Jacinto) takes Osha back to an “unknown” planet. Can we safely assume this is the Sith’s him? Maybe, but we cannot be sure. Osha follows Qimir across a bed of ocean shore rocks, similar to where we saw Mae at the end of The Acolyte season 1 episode 1. As Osha follows him, Qimir allows her to follow.

Qimir allows Osha to come near as he swims, even letting her handle her lightsaber, likely to gain his new apprentice’s trust. The Sith Lord then makes a shocking revelation to Osha, saying he used to be a Jedi Master a long time ago. He explains that he uses anger, fear, loss, and desire, which Osha (Amandla Stenberg) recognizes as the power of the dark side.

Qimir responds with, “Semantics.” The Sith Lord then tries to connect with her through manipulation. He asks Osha why and how she didn’t become a Jedi. Soon, Osha becomes emotional, angry, and fearful. She draws Qimir’s red lightsaber, holds it to his neck, and yells because she failed. He tells her that he once lost everything as well and that only when you lose everything are you totally free.

Disney+’s The Acolyte Season 1 Episode 6 Ending Explained: Why Does Sol Shoot Mae?

The Acolyte ends with Sol shooting Mae with the stun setting on his blaster because the jig is up! He knows that she is not Osha! Basil alerted him to the scheme because he was standing right behind him. Vernestra (Rebecca Henderson) answers Sol’s distress call with the power back on. However, he turns the radio and the ship’s tracker off.

Sol takes the ship into hyperspace. Mae wakes up, handcuffed to the medical bay table. Sol tells her he won’t hurt her but needs Mae’s help to find Qimir and save her sister, Osha. Sol tells her he has been thinking about what he will say to her after 16 years, so Mae needs to listen.

What Does Osha Put on Her Head?

Star Wars: The Acolyte ends with Osha in the Sith Lord’s cavern. She puts on his helmet, and all we can hear is Osha’s breath, similar to Darth Vadar.
