The new patch sets a limit on how many jumps you can do before facing penalties. If you jump 1-3 times in quick succession, you’re good – no penalties there. But if you go for the fourth jump, the game starts punishing you. These penalties make your aim worse and drastically increase weapon sway, meaning it’s harder to hit your target. Ubisoft’s goal with this change is to make the game more balanced and fair for everyone.
However, not everyone is happy about this. Many players who rely on jump spamming are frustrated. They feel like their playstyle is being unfairly targeted. On X and Reddit, you can find plenty of posts from players complaining about the new penalties. They argue that jumping is a legitimate tactic and that these changes ruin the fun for them.

What’s New in XDefiant Season One?
The game’s first season will begin on July 2, 2024. The GSK is a brand-new playable faction that will come with the season. The Rainbow Six Siege elite operators served as inspiration for the GSK, which adds tactical coordination and strategic gadget use to the game.
Throughout Season 1, three new maps will be released, each with its own distinct setting and tactical difficulties. Players can expect a fast-paced chase through a bustling coastal city in Daytona and a close-quarters combat game inside a mansion in Clubhouse. In the third, Rockefeller, players are placed in a wintry urban setting.
Capture the Flag, another beloved game mode, also makes its XDefiant debut in Season 1. Teams compete against one another in this traditional objective-based mode as they try to steal the enemy’s flag and bring it back to their base without getting killed in the process.
