Helldivers 2 is a great example of what a live service game should be, unfortunately, the gaming community is not too thrilled with the latest patch. Arrowhead Game Studios is struggling to keep up with the demands of the community and address certain issues.
The only caveat for live service games is that they are in need of constant oversight and high maintenance. The developers are doing everything possible to stay afloat and while the latest patch did address some of the major issues, there are still some kinks that need fixing.
The Fans Are Unsatisfied With the Helldivers 2 Patch
It wasn’t long ago when director Johan Pilestedt was hyping up the latest patch for Helldivers 2 and hinted at new nerfs and buffs for stratagems and the potential introduction of a new enemy faction. The official update dropped a few minutes ago and it wasn’t the patch many expected.
It is unfortunate to see the developers fail to meet the expectations of the community. Some are disappointed by the issues that were addressed and thought this would be the ultimate fix for the majority of the problems.
Arrowhead Game Studios was working on a massive patch and the gaming community hoped it would have desirable results. Unfortunately, the developers failed to address. Among the major issues are the low capacity for magazines and players suggested to increase it but Pilestedt shot down the idea and added that the models for the magazine would need to be tweaked.
The slow reload time would be better compensated if there are more rounds in a magazine. These are the necessary adjustments that the gaming community is after and while what the developers were able to put out was impressive, it is still not enough on their end.
Helldivers 2 Developers Dropped the Ball With the Latest Patch
The gaming community is right to be upset about the shortcomings of the developers. Pilestedt promised a decent-sized update and the fans are hoping that the Illuminate could give the game the boost it needed and improve the enemy variety.
Arrowhead Game Studios needs to step up and deliver, otherwise, the gaming community will eventually turn their back on the game. The gaming community has high expectations for the game and the developers need to meet them halfway.
The developers had ample time to address and resolve the issue regarding the ammunition count but it couldn’t make the cut for the latest one. Perhaps this will serve as a lesson for the developers to try even harder than last time to avoid this mistake.
These new additions could have made the experience even smoother for the players. The developers have built a solid foundation with the player base by being interactive and responsive, however, the developers need to have keener eyes and ears to better identify the wants of the community.
