Joker is one of the most fascinating DC villains and arguably the best Batman nemesis in DCU. His obsession with the Caped Crusader is almost romantic which often rattled Harley Quinn, his on-and-off girlfriend.
While Joker and Harley Quinn are regarded as one of the power couples in the universe, their break-ups do not go unnoticed. Joker is unpredictable and Quinn often has to make unprecedented decisions in their relationship. In one instance, the infamous villainous couple went through a gut-wrenching plot twist that killed the Clown Prince.
Harley Quinn Had To Kill Joker For An Unavoidable Reason
Harley Quinn and Joker are inseparable from each other but they have gone through several break-ups and patch-ups. In Sean Murphy’s Batman: White Knight comic book series, a plot twist has fascinated the fandom. Joker turned into Jack Napier, a split from the psychotic version of the character, rather he was highly compassionate and went on to start a family with his long-time beloved Harleen Frances Quinzel. They had two children together in this happy phase of their love life.
However, Joker is unpredictable (which also makes him unique), after his candid reign as Napier who used his influence to climb the political ladder in Gotham, and even imprisoned Batman. It is almost impossible to imagine Joker helping Gothan to make a safer place devoid of any violence, he almost achieved it. However, the shadow of Joker was always lurking above the new personality of the Clown Prince. Eventually, he turned to his usual self, managing control over Napier’s body.
He even kidnapped his own kids. Quinn stepped in and made the most painful decision of her life to stop Joker from hurting her kids.
Fans Commented Over Joker’s Death
Following the death of the Clown Prince, Batman who witnessed Quinn’s motherly instinct, comforted her promising the safety of her kids. The Joker-Quinn and Batman circle narratives have always been fascinating in comics and with Murphy’s Batman: White Knight fans have witnessed the death of Joker.
“Best part of the whole comic was when they actually made it seem like people would actually let the joker go and condem Batman like dude this is Gotham they would put a bullet in Jack Napier just cause they wanted to,” one fan wrote in comments of YouTube.
Another wrote:
“Honestly i kinda feel bad for Harley in this version but she got a good ending because batman married her.”
The Joker story arc was beyond what fans usually witnessed, “How ironic joker becomes a sayne politician and makes Batman the bad guy,” another wrote in the comments. Yet, the narrative turned out to be the union of Quinn and Batman.
