In the TV show, many have noticed that the Brotherhood of Steel (BoS) utilizes a rather familiar airship, calling into question the numerous endings players were able to experience within Fallout 4. Sadly, some gamers may not want to hear this, but you may have chosen a non-canon ending in your playthrough.

A recent Twitter/X post from user TKs-Mantis shared information that the airship, Prydwen, from the Brotherhood of Steel faction somehow managed to survive throughout the wastelands and make its way into the TV show, leading us to question our choices within Fallout 4.

The only way this canonical ending would make sense is if the player joined up with the Brotherhood of Steel and worked with them to fulfill their final goal. This ultimately leaves the Prydwen functional to fight another day, which is something many players struggle to choose.

Since there are plenty of different endings, many gamers wonder which ending is the right one to choose, leading to difficult decisions. Now, thanks to this recent post and an official recognition from the game’s Wiki, we can only assume there are limited options for a canonical ending.

Gamers Are Still Debating Which Ending Is Canon

Gamers still can’t decide what the canonical ending is.

Even though it has been seemingly confirmed that the airship in the Fallout TV show is the Prydwen and that it is still functional and in service within the universe, gamers are debating whether or not this is the canonical ending.

According to one player, they feel this theory is incorrect and that the Minutemen ending within Fallout 4 is the canonical ending. It would make more sense, with the original X poster replying that it could be a toss-up between the Brotherhood of Steel and the Minutemen as the other factions task you with destroying the Prydwen.

Unfortunately, in any franchise, especially in the gaming industry, it is hard to agree on a canonical ending for a game like Fallout 4, which has multiple endings. Unless there is a sequel set directly after the game. So for now, we can only take hints from the series as an indicator to which endings are closer to being canonical than others.

What do you think about the Prydwen’s survival in the Fallout universe? Did you keep this airship functional, or did you blow it up? Let us know in the comments below!
