It’s impossible to talk about MMOs without mentioning The Elder Scroll Online(ESO). The way Bethesda has molded the genre with Elder Scrolls Online can’t overstated. The developers have given players an MMO no other title in the genre can compete against.
Last year, a new chapter unfolded in the history of Elder Scrolls Online with High Isle, which brought players to the ancestral homeland of the Breton race. Bethesda crafted tons of eye-catching trailers for High Isle, and one of those gave us a look at an NPC that can put everything created by Hidetaka Miyazaki to shame.
Elder Scroll Online’s Nameless Knight Which Won Our Hearts
There’s no doubt that Hidetaka Miyazaki has created some of the most iconic characters that have gone down in gaming history. However, when Bethesda announced High Isle DLC for Elder Scrolls Online, they introduced an NPC that’s more badass than anything we’ve seen in Miyazaki’s titles.
In the expansion’s cinematic trailer, we’re introduced to a nameless knight who has established himself as a legend in Elder Scrolls lore. Although we know nothing about this knight, he utterly dominated the three heroes of the Elder Scrolls Online. While he didn’t survive the battle, he was a powerful knight who deserves all the respect and honor.Ā
What might surprise you is that this is not the first time we’ve seen this nameless knight in Elder Scrolls! Previously, he was also featured in the Legacy of the Bretons‘ announcement trailer.
It’s a shame we didn’t get to see more of this nameless knight in Elder Scrolls Online. However, Bethesda isn’t known to abandon its cool characters. So, it’s likely that in some way or another, we’ll see the return of the nameless knight absolutely wreaking havoc in the mind-boggling universe of Elder Scrolls Online. Let’s hope Elden Ring’s upcoming DLC brings us a character who can compete against the nameless knight from ESO.
Elder Scrolls Online’s Next Expansion is Coming Soon
The next chapter of the Elder Scrolls Online universe, Gold Road, finally has a release date firmly locked in. The new expansion for the game will bring a new Trial alongside a brand-new area to explore. Players can expect new systems and other gameplay changes with the expansion that will take us on an adventure to Mirrormoor to unravel the truth behind Ithelia, the forgotten Daedric prince.Ā
The Elder Scroll Online‘s Gold Road DLC is all set to release on Monday, June 3rd, 2024, for PC players. If you want to play Gold Road on PlayStation and Xbox, you’ll have to wait until June 18th. As we approach this new adventure’s release date, players can pre-purchase Gold Road and its various editions on all platforms right now.
