Throughout their marriage, they have supported one another in their careers.

This role called for an “intense preparation” for the former as she told Screendaily how her co-star and director, Cooper wanted him to go all in.

“Bradley was quite clear. He said, ‘I want you to do this, but I need you to go all in with me.’ I wanted to do Felicia justice. But I’d never done all in.”

An Education star, Carey Mulligan who never went to drama school found the thought of letting go embarrassing at first but she eventually went ahead with it.

“I’ve never done it because I thought it would be embarrassing or I’d do it badly. I wish I could burst into tears and lie down on the floor and pretend to be a leopard. But I decided, with Bradley, I was going to burst into tears and pretend to be a leopard. So I did.”

Eventually, her hard work paid off. The BAFTA awardee, Carey Mulligan, told The Times of London that she felt her Oscar nomination for her role is quite the “coolest thing.”

She shared,

“(It) is just the coolest thing. Because it’s from your peers. It’s wicked.”

She also commented that the actors who claim awards don’t matter are “100% lying.” Though she did not name any actor in her statement, she acknowledged how awards nominations are something quite cool. For the unversed, actors like Tom Cruise and Marlon Brando had quite a history with awards shows with the latter even rejecting his award in quite an unexpected way.

Both the stars have cemented an incredible legacy in Hollywood. While Cruise has continued to reign the industry with his hit movies, particularly in the action genre, Brando has given irreplaceable masterpieces in the cinematic world. However, when it comes to their connection with the Academy Awards, it is quite different.

While his movie Top Gun: Maverick was up for 6 nominations at the event, he was absent due to overseas production on his eighth Mission: Impossible installment.
