Making a movie is no easy job. Hours and hours of footage are filmed before the director picks a few minutes that actually make it to the final cut. How often do you see clips in movie trailers that get you super excited about the film but are nowhere to be found in the actual release? Here are 15 movie scenes that were only in the trailer.

Spider-Man (2002)

The teaser of Tobey Maguire starrer Spider-Man featured a bank robbery scene which later showed snippets of the twin towers in the background. This scene never featured in the final cut though.

Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

This million-dollar shot with mighty Avengers running behind Captain America to fight Thanos was never added to the original cut of Avengers: Infinity War.

Back To The Future (1985)

A scene in the Back To The Future trailer featured Marty getting asked in an elevator “How far are you going” to which he replied, “About thirty years”.

Rogue One (2016)

“It’s a rebellion, isn’t it? I rebel.” This line and much of the original ending are still visible in the trailer, including a shot that was made specifically for it.

Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)

The line which said, “They call themselves the Guardians of the Galaxy” and this entire line-up never made it to the final cut of the film.

Most of Guy Pearce’s role film was relegated to trailers featuring Peter Weyland waxing poetic about his tech and firm.

Only in the trailer, you can see the first meeting of the Star Wars trio taking place in a sandstorm.

The snippet in the trailer where Pepper Potts tosses Tony’s helmet off the plane never made it to the final cut of the film.

Wake up, Ron Burgundy is actually an alternate cut of the movie that has trailer clips that weren’t added to the original film.

An entire fake scene that featured the family sitting at the movies was shot for the trailer. This scene wasn’t added anywhere in the original cut.
