Released back in 2008 the movie was filled with high-level CGI, but it received mixed reviews from the critics and earned around $244 million. The role played by the “The Mummy” actor in The Journey to the Center of the Earth is of a volcanologist named Trevor Anderson. The film is about an adventure where the brother of Trevor Anderson gets lost, and he and his team move to the center of the earth along that way they encounter different creatures and mysteries. The Oscar winner was praised for the role he played, and the film has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 60%.
