Kratos from God of War is known to have defeated thousands of opponents, from ordinary warriors to Gods and Titans. Another franchise is widely known for having powerful characters, Marvel’s Avengers, and other heroes. The Marvel Universe has so much diversity among their characters that sometimes the heroes are fighting ordinary robbers and other times heroes fighting in cosmic mega-battles. However, with such powerful beings in question, several people might have wondered once about who are heroes that Kratos can or can’t beat in a head-on fight.

Captain America (Loses to Kratos)

Captain America gained superhuman abilities from the Super Soldier Serum. But technically speaking, when faced against Kratos, neither his strength nor speed are superhuman. His Vibranium shield would simply cripple as soon as Kratos would take his Blades of Chaos out on the field. Steve Rogers also doesn’t have the physical prowess to hurt the Ghost of Sparta.

Spider-Man might be considered a weaker character because of the way Peter has presented himself in the most famous Spider-Man comics. However, his true strength was revealed when Otto Octavius gained control of his body in the Superior Spider-Man arc. Spider-Man can pick weights up to 10 tons, and it has been confirmed on the official Marvel’s website. However, no matter how strong Peter Parker is, compared to the Ghost of Sparta, these are nothing but frail attempts.

Iron Man would be a challenging opponent for the God of War. Having so much technology and firepower, Kratos might have to tank through all his attacks. Considering his evading speed, the God of War can move pretty well. However, with Iron Man’s best suit in question, it would be difficult for him to land a blow on Tony Stark. If Kratos does get a hold of him though, it’s very clear how the Ghost of Sparta will demolish him.

In the God of War game, Kratos basically goes around defeating gods. So, a fight with Thor wouldn’t be absurd, and people might think he is an easy opponent for the Ghost of Sparta. However, compared to real gods, they’re depicted a million times stronger in the Marvel Universe. Odinforce Thor would eat Kratos for breakfast and leave no crumbs.

Only a few characters in the entire roster of fictional characters can go head-on-head with Hulk and come out as the victor. Hulk is popular for getting stronger with the more rage he feels. However, Kratos has the Spartan Rage, which allows the God of War to become invincible for a few moments while having an insane strength boost. Kratos would’ve had better chances to win against Hulk if he stuck to using his magical abilities than his standard weapons.

Ghost Rider (Wins against Kratos)

Ghost Rider
Ghost Rider

Ghost Rider is popular for his Penance stare. This power is only effective on individuals who’ve committed sins and at the same time regret them. Considering how Kratos casually killed the God of Mount Olympus just for vengeance and killed his own family members accidentally, Penance stare would be kryptonite for him. Keeping aside that, Ghost Rider, in general, is very difficult to kill, and his hell flame is so blazing that it might set Kratos’s soul on fire. And with the right to destroy someone’s soul, Ghost Rider is pretty overpowered.
