Now, a new update from an industry insider seemingly confirms three mutants to join the league in the upcoming reboot movie. However, one popular choice seems to be missing from the list.

Rogue Was Left Out In The Rumored List Of Mutants In X-Men Reboot

A post from famous scooper MyTimeToShineHello revealed that “Angel, Iceman and Jubilee will be in Marvel’s X-Men reboot”, and while many fans were happy about this lineup, a fan-favorite mutant has been left out again.

Rogue wasn’t mentioned in the report and it’s a shame that she is getting ignored again in the live-action franchise. Fox featured the mutant in its earlier film productions, but the more recent ones completely got rid of her.

Her appearance in X-Men ‘97 proved that she remains a popular X-Men member despite her lack of exposure in the latest movie installments. Rogue might still show up and this remains to be seen when the official  cast lineup has been announced.

Kevin Feige previously spoke with Gizmodo to share updates about the upcoming X-Men reboot. He said that there is an abundance of X-Men figures in the Marvel realm, so any of them might come up in the roster.

There are a lot of great X-Men characters in the Deadpool & Wolverine film. There are a lot of great X-Men characters in all of the Fox versions of the X-Men films. And there are a lot of great X-Men characters that have never gone on the big screen.

He said that just like what they attempted to do in Sony’s Spider-Man films, fans will “probably see a mix of characters you’ve seen before and characters you’ve never seen before.” Hopefully, Feige and the MCU will listen to the fans and bring back Rogue into the fold.

In an interview with PeopleTV’s Couch Surfing, Rogue actress Anna Paquin revealed she was cut from X-Men: Days of Future Past, but she’s okay with it.

It wasn’t really a big deal for me, I was fine. It happens, whatever… Then the movie comes out and a lot of people got very defensive on my behalf and then the Rogue Cut appeared. It was kind of crazy. It’s incredibly flattering. I appreciate all the people who were very vocal, who fought for Rogue.

Rogue was supposed to appear in the 2014 movie but they decided to omit her scenes due to time constraints. After fans learned of this, many demanded the release of the Rogue Cut.

It’s clear that many are hoping to see Rogue in the upcoming X-Men reboot. It would be a shame to say that the movie will feature returning characters and not have one of the OGs from the early 2000s.

X-Men films are available to watch on Disney+.
