Melissa Viviane Jefferson, popularly known by her stage name Lizzo found herself entangled in a questionable controversy related to body shaming. Despite having faced body-image issues herself, the pop star was accused of encouraging a toxic work environment within her dance team. Three former dancers took out a lawsuit over sexual and religious harassment in addition to body-shaming of dancers, per Entertainment Weekly.
