1. Brie Larson is a former singer turned actor
Larson used to be a pop singer before she rose to fame as an actress. She performed as Jesse McCartney’s opening act on tour in the middle of the 2000s, and in 2005, she released the album Finally Out Of P.E., which featured the lead hit She Said. In addition, she sang in the movie Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. In 2017, she co-starred with Utkarsh Ambudkar in the musical Basmati Blues.
2. Brie Larson climbed Grand Teton
In a youtube video, actor Larson, after reaching the summit of the mountain Grand Teton said,
“I don’t know how to describe getting to the top. You just get so deeply rewarded with that view. That view is out of control.”
2019 saw Brie Larson climb Grand Teton, Wyoming’s second-highest peak, over the course of three days. After six weeks of preparation, her trainer Jason Walsh gave her the go-ahead to scale the mountain. She made a video of the entire process and uploaded it to her YouTube account.
3. Brie Larson was engaged to Alex Greenwald before calling it quits
In an old interview with the media, Larson talked about her former finance saying,
“the other half of the equation – how can you explain support? I mean, it goes beyond anything. He’s just my person, he’s my best friend.”
Alex Greenwald, a musician and actor who sings lead for the band Phantom Planet, and Larson were engaged. People Magazine reported at the beginning of 2019 that Larson and her fiance called it quits after a nearly three-year engagement.

4. Brie Larson is a child of a divorce
When Larson was only seven years old, her parents split. Her father still lives in Sacramento. When she was no longer required by law to spend visitations with him, Larson said in an interview with Elle, she grabbed the chance and hasn’t seen or spoken to him in ten years. Speaking about her father, Larson said,
“As a kid, I tried to understand him and understand the situation. But he didn’t do himself any favors. I don’t think he ever really wanted to be a parent.”

In 1989, Brianne Sidonie Desaulniers, now known as Brie Larson, was born in Sacramento, California. Yes, she uses the stage name, Larson. People Magazine claims that when Larson was nine years old, she made the decision to adopt the last name of Kirsten Larson, the character from her favorite American Girl doll, because her own last name, which is actually French, is hard to pronounce.
