Playing an eccentric, s*x-obsessed lawyer in Lanthimos’ film, he shared insights into his elaborate costumes. It includes a*s pads, thigh pads, calf pads, and boots with a 3-inch heel. As per The Hollywood Reporter,  Ruffalo explained,

“I had ass pads. I had thigh pads, I had calf pads, I had a codpiece. I had a corset, I had a high collar. I had boots with a 3-inch heel on them.”

According to him, this ensemble transformed his character into “a bit of a rooster.” Despite initial hesitations about the role, he embraced it after discussions with Lanthimos.

Drawing inspiration from legends like Charlie Chaplin, Richard E. Grant, Terry-Thomas, and even his former MCU co-star Robert Downey Jr., Ruffalo delved into the heightened world of Poor Things with a lot of daydreaming.
