One of the great things that the Valve launcher does for the gaming community is the Steam Next Fest. This festival reunites the best indie developers and players in the same place. Next Fest will allow players to test more than 100 demos of upcoming games from all over the world.
Indie developers can get feedback about their different projects, and players can wishlist any game they like thanks to the demos. This year, Next Fest is live, and here are some of the best games to play and test.
Steam Next Fest has several interesting titles available
This Steam Next Fest, as with any other, has many very anticipated games. In this case, games like Pacific Drive from Ironwood Studios has a demo available, along with MULLET MAD JACK from Hammer95, and many more. It seems to be a very good year for the Steam Next Fest.
Some of these titles will be released this month, and many players are very excited about them. These are seven games that you should test during this year’s event.
Pacific Drive
Ironwood Studios has developed this game, which was announced back at the 2022 State of Play. Pacific Drive will the studio’s first project and it has been created on Unreal Engine 4. This first-person survival game will require a vehicle to survive the various bizarre and natural disasters that you encounter and you can improve your car with parts by crafting and looting different places.
Pacific Drive will launch on PS5 and PC on February 22.
Welcome to ParadiZe
Eko Software is developing this title, allowing players to control zombies in the funniest ways possible. With the Zombot Helmet mechanic, as long as a zombie has no red light in its helmet, you can control it. This unique game allows for each zombie to do different tasks on your base, so you can keep looting.
Welcome to ParadiZe will be released for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series S/X on February 29.
MULLET MAD JACK
This frenetic first-person shooter with animations like the first DOOM has a unique style that will align with its 80s synthwave nostalgic look. To stay alive in MULLET MAD JACK, you have to die before the time runs out.
MULLET MAD JACK will be available on Steam, however, it currently has no confirmed release date.
Winter Survival
DRACO Entertainment presents Winter Survival. This first-person survival simulator makes the player confront a crude winter with few resources within reach. You have to craft your weapons and hunt for food. Many animals are going to be after you, so prepare to fight for your life.
Winter Survival will be available on February 28 on Steam.
Ultros
This game has a particular setting that is very lysergic, with all kinds of bioorganic enemies and weapons. It is a metroidvania developed by Hadoque that is very procedural in each run and will test one’s abilities to finally defeat the entity known as Ultros.
Ultros will be available on February 13 on PS5, PS4, and PC.
Oddsparks: An Automation Adventure
Massive Miniteam, a studio with several games on its resume, brings you Oddsparks: An Automation Adventure. The Sparks are adorable creatures that will let you automate your workshops. This title mixes real-time strategy with simulation and other very interesting ideas.
Oddsparks: An Automation Adventure will be available on Steam on April 24.
Crypt Custodian
This game is a fascinating metroidvania, and it will likely remind you of Hades and other similar titles. It was developed by only one person, Kyle Thompson. The protagonist of Crypt Custodian will have one main objective, to clean no matter the cost, and your weapon will be a broom. This title is part of the Guerrilla Collective selection.
As of this writing, Crypt Custodian has no official release date.
This selection of demos and games will be available at the Steam Next Fest until February 12. Some of these titles are very close to being released, so once the event is over, you will be able to purchase many of these games.
