The eternally divisive forbidden romance anthology of the vampire and the human brought alive by Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart needs to be contested every other week to keep Twilight relevant in contemporary cinema. No matter the time or the era of progress and emotional evolution the people go through, the cultural impact of that film series remains stagnant – whether because of its awkward, uncomfortable, and often cringe-inducing story of love and romance or because of the meme-worthy performance of the lead couple.
Robert Pattinson Made Kristen Stewart’s Life Difficult on Set
His Twilight debut earned Robert Pattinson a lifetime ban on being an immediately recognized A-lister on the rise as a seriously talented and critically acclaimed actor. The problem was that any time you’d say, ‘No, you’re really good.’ ‘No! You think that I need that?!’ It’s like, ‘No. I’m just actually being genuinely honest because I really like what’s going on here.’ I think it had a lot to do with the part that he was playing.”
