Appearing for the promotional event of his movie Iron Man 3, along with his costar Gwyneth Paltrow, Robert Downey Jr. slammed the actress. Paltrow, who mastered the British accent for her movies, evidently showed off her linguistic skills by speaking in French during the event. And thus, Downey created a mic drop moment after he roasted her and confessed that he can’t speak French.

MCU’s Iron Man has been one of the greatest and most appreciated superheroes of all time. And the credit goes to Robert Downey Jr, who single-handedly managed to create a loyal fan base like none. Delivering the Iron Man threequel, the actor further appeared in MCU’s The Avengers franchise.
Often known for creating viral moments with his witty nature and sarcastic remarks, Robert Downey Jr. created one such moment during his Iron Man 3 promotional event in Paris. The cinematic superhero, who plays the pivotal role of Tony Stark aka Iron Man, appeared with his costar Gwyneth Paltrow.
Visiting Paris, Downey, and Paltrow met with reporters and their questions in French. And while the actress previously mastered the British accent for her movies, also showed off her linguistic skills, in French. However, unlike his costar, the Sherlock Holmes actor failed to speak French.

Feeling embarrassed and left out during the promotional event, after the reporters sought information in French, Robert Downey Jr. slammed Gwyneth Paltrow. Instead of appreciating Paltrow’s skills, the actor sarcastically criticized for bragging and showing off.
“First of all, I feel like an as*hole…I would have spoken French, but I was raised by wolves. I am an animal.” Robert Downey Jr stated.
Expressing his feeling of being left out, as he not only failed to speak but also understand French, Downey roasted his costar for being a brat and showing off her impressive skills. “She (Paltrow) went to all these nice schools and they spent all these goddamn money, and now she’s all fancy and comes out here and you just love her” the actor blurted.
Downey later went on to state that deep down he felt like an animal, a barbarian, for not understanding or speaking French. “I’m an animal, I’m an ugly American alright. They don’t teach French in jail” the actor shared. Reflecting upon his prison time for using drugs, Robert Downey Jr created a mic drop viral moment during the promotional event.
